We've made the trip from Suffolk for this event four times now, and honestly, it keeps getting better. The 74-mile stretch through the middle was the finest route yet, steering clear of the hectic roads while offering loads of peaceful forest cycling. As always, it was brilliantly organized, and the vibe was super relaxed and friendly. Big thanks, and we’ll catch you next spring!

The Peaks adventure was superbly organized, with clear signs and awesome food stations offering a nice mix of snacks. Much appreciated!

What a fantastic event! Everything was super well organized, and the route was just stunning. The country lanes were lovely, and there wasn't much traffic, almost like the roads were closed off at times. I had a blast riding and taking in the views, even though I didn't have a moment to snap any pics! Big thanks to the staff at the feed stations and the finish line. The oat bars, beer, and iced coffee were all top-notch. One thing I’d suggest is maybe having regular toilets instead of those temporary ones. The village hall was shut, so there wasn’t much choice, but I’d rather have a proper loo. Huge shoutout to the photographers too! The photos were beautifully composed and really captured the moment. I’m definitely planning to sign up for one or more UK cycling events next year!

Fantastic route, superb venue, top-notch organization, well marked and supported (witnessed it firsthand). UKCE is definitely on the right track since this was by far the highest turnout of riders I've noticed in this Summer's Sportives. Can't wait to give it another go next year.

I've participated in several events with UK Cycling Event and I must say, they really know how to put on a show. Everything is clearly marked at the venue, and the course has loads of signs so you won’t end up wandering off. I typically ride the middle routes (previously known as the standard route), and there’s usually a refreshment stop halfway where I can refill my bottle, grab some snacks, and take a break in one of the portaloos. Thankfully, I haven't had to call the emergency numbers, but I've spotted bike mechanics and medics on motorbikes along the way, which is reassuring. Coming back to the base is always a treat with a warm reception, a medal, and some extra goodies. We used to receive a finisher t-shirt too, but it seems like they don’t hand those out anymore, which is a bit of a bummer.

I recently took part in the Chilterns Classic, and getting to the event was a breeze (I rode my bike there and back). The course was fantastic, winding through some well-known local climbs like Streatly Hill, Goring, and Whitchurch. The long route featured two feed stations; I only made a stop at one, but it was stocked up nicely. There were volunteers at tricky junctions, though there were no outriders that day.

Unfortunately, the start and finish areas were a bit lacking. Bigger events tend to do a better job, but this one only had two stands: coffee and pizza, with not many options for vegans or those with food intolerances. The finish freebies, aside from the IPA, weren’t really suitable either. But like I said, larger events usually have it covered; it’s smart to bring your own snacks!

On the bright side, the city center was just a short ride away for my 50km journey home.

I didn't give it a full 5 stars because there are a couple of things that didn't sit right with me. I took part in my very first race on Saturday in Oxford, which was the shortest course at 50km. I felt let down that I didn’t earn a point for refilling my bottle during the race, something that was available in the other two courses. Sure, it’s a smaller course, but it’s popular with newbies. The other thing that bugged me was the photos; they were the same as the other two courses, which was a bit of a letdown as well. But hey, everything else was fantastic! The organization, the venue, and the course markings were all spot on. Overall, I had a blast!

I've participated in several UKCE events - the info provided beforehand is top-notch, always well put together, the signage is superb, and there's a lovely vibe in the villages post-event. The locations are excellent, definitely worth a shout!
